It is important for schools to check that data files have been successfully uploaded to the Student Information Records System (SIRS).

If a file has been successfully uploaded to SIRS, the person who uploaded the file will receive two emails. The first email confirms that the file has been verified, and the second confirms that the file has been successfully processed.

If an error occurs during the upload process, the person who uploaded the file will receive one of two emails, either:

  • a notification of an error in the verification process

or

  • a notification of a processing issue.

If either of these emails is received, the error must be identified, rectified, and the files re-uploaded to SIRS. Failure to follow up on these errors and/or warnings may result in information not being recorded in SIRS.

For further information and troubleshooting, refer to Sections 4.8 and 4.9 of the Data Procedures Manual 2026 available at https://scsa.wa.edu.au/publications/data-procedures-manual.

If further assistance is needed, forward the email with the errors/warnings to dataservices@scsa.wa.edu.au.
