Consultation on proposed revisions to Australian Curriculum Languages – Auslan (Second and First Languages) and Aboriginal Languages and Torres Strait Islander Languages (Second, First and Revival Languages)
The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) has released proposed revisions to the Australian Curriculum: Languages – Auslan (Second and First Languages) and Aboriginal Languages and Torres Strait Islander Languages (Second, First and Revival Languages) Foundation to Year 10, as part of the Australian Curriculum review. The Authority has scheduled a consultation workshop to assist teachers to review the documents and to collect feedback to inform the Western Australian jurisdictional response to ACARA.

Revised curriculum for Health and Physical Education (HPE) P–10 for consent and first aid, and for English P–6 for phonics and word knowledge, have now been released for familiarisation in 2023, and implementation in 2024.
The changes only affect curriculum content for consent, first aid, and phonics and word knowledge. All other aspects of the Health and Physical Education and English curriculum remain unchanged.
