Revised curriculum for Health and Physical Education (HPE) P–10 for consent and first aid, and for English P–6 for phonics and word knowledge, have now been released for familiarisation in 2023, and implementation in 2024.
The changes only affect curriculum content for consent, first aid, and phonics and word knowledge. All other aspects of the Health and Physical Education and English curriculum remain unchanged.

The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) have released proposed revisions to the Australian Curriculum: Languages – Arabic, Hindi, Turkish and Vietnamese, for Foundation to Year 10, as part of the Australian Curriculum review.

Schools are advised that the School Curriculum and Standards Authority Board has approved moderation activities for Pre-primary to Year 10 for 2022. This will take two forms: Moderation Workshops to develop a comprehensive and shared understanding of the Achievement Standards, and Curriculum and Assessment Seminars to develop a comprehensive and shared understanding of the mandated Principles of Teaching, Learning and Assessment in the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline.

Heads of Learning Area and teachers of Mathematics Foundation Year 11 and 12, are advised that the School Curriculum and Standards Authority will be conducting an information WebEx session designed to explain and provide support for the minor changes to the Mathematics Foundation assessment tables for both Year 11 and 12.
