The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) has reviewed and updated the teaching support materials to facilitate effective planning for multi‑age classes.

Revisions to planning materials have been made to reflect the phases of learning across the early and primary years of schooling, while also assisting schools in catering for the diverse needs of their students. Additionally, a new planning template has been developed to assist teachers in developing plans across four year levels.

To further guide teachers, the Authority is developing sample plans that illustrate best practice for creating teaching and learning programs across multi‑age classes, as demonstrated in the updated materials.
