In 2025, the School Curriculum and Assessment Authority (the Authority) is highlighting the effective implementation of the mandated Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) from Kindergarten to Year 2. This provides an opportunity to support high-quality delivery of the Western Australian Curriculum and Assessment Outline (the Outline).

Authority circulars will contain information regarding the highlighted Principle and Practice each term and provide a link to the Authority website where an online, self-paced learning module will be available to support understanding and application of the EYLF.

The highlighted Principle for Term 1 will be Collaborative leadership and teamwork and the highlighted Practice will be Holistic, integrated and interconnected approaches. Further details will be provided in forthcoming Circulars.
