There has been a change to the process for uploading of Year 12 English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) ATAR course common oral assessment task (COAT) audiovisual files.

In previous years, the School Curriculum and Standards Authority has required the use of the file transfer protocol (FTP) software FileZilla to upload audiovisual files. In 2025, COAT contacts will be required to upload these files directly to SIRS2, as explained on page 14 of the English as an Additional Language or Dialect Common Oral Assessment Task Handbook.

The English as an Additional Language or Dialect Common Oral Assessment Task Technical Guide provides specific details on how to upload COAT audiovisual files.

Both the handbook and technical guide will be available on the Authority website at

COAT audiovisual files must be uploaded to SIRS2 by Wednesday, 11 June 2025.
