The School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) is offering an implementation workshop for the new Year 11 Drama General course syllabus for teaching from 2027.

The workshop is intended for schools offering the Year 11 Drama General course in 2027 and will:

• explore the changes made to the Year 11 Drama General syllabus
• develop a shared understanding of the assessment requirements
• explore sample support materials developed by the Authority.

The workshop is not compulsory and is free to attend. Schools are responsible for any costs incurred (for example, teacher relief) as a result of attendance at a workshop.

Implementation workshop dates

• In-person: Tuesday, 17 November 2026 – Telethon Speech and Hearing, 36 Dodd Street, Wembley Western Australia 6014, 9.00 am–12.00 pm.
• Online: Thursday, 19 November 2026, 3.45–5.00 pm.

Note: the Authority uses Webex as the delivery platform for all online events. Registrants will need to download the application prior to the event to participate.
