Music ATAR Syllabus Review Consultation Forum

Consultation is an important part of the Authority’s curriculum and assessment development and review process.

Teachers and stakeholders are invited to register to attend a whole-day consultation forum (on Thursday, 3 June) to:

  • analyse feedback received about the Years 11 and 12 Music ATAR course syllabuses
  • explore options and provide feedback to inform future revisions to the Years 11 and 12 Music ATAR syllabuses.

Schools offering the Year 11 and/or Year 12 Music ATAR course may register one teacher to attend the event. Schools with large student enrolments in the Music ATAR course may request to register additional teachers by contacting John Newman, Manager, Curriculum and Assessment,

Non-school-based stakeholders will be contacted directly to invite them to register. Non-school-based stakeholders include representatives from Instrumental Music School Services, Universities and relevant professional associations.

Teachers and stakeholders are requested to bring with them:

  • an electronic device for completing online feedback (e.g. smart phone, laptop)
  • a copy of the current syllabus (either hard copy or digital).

There is no charge to schools or individuals to attend the event, however schools will be responsible for teacher relief and any travel and accommodation expenses. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
